Detached Patio Roof Plans

Use rafter ties to secure the rafters to the support beam.
Detached patio roof plans. Great for climates that receive a lot of rain or snowfall the a line roof promotes drainage and makes snow easier to remove if needed. Use rafter hangers to secure the rafters to the ledger boards. Plans must be drawn to scale. That is why it is called a freestanding patio cover.

These patio cover plans can be adapted in length and width as long as you follow your local beam and rafter span codes.
When you are building a patio cover off of an existing roof or wall you must take all of your measurements from the point at which the patio roof will attach to the existing structure not the outside of the slab.
